Wait a Minute: What Is The Relevance of Trading And Your Mouth?

Let me ask you these two questions: "Are you a trader? Do you trade forex?" If the answer of these questions is YES, then you might want to watch your mouth.
"Wait a minute. What is the relevance of trading and my mouth?"
You might be asking that question in your mind now. Don't ask me how I found out. It is elementary.
I would like you to know that I asked that question too, to the person who asked me the earlier questions that I have mentioned at the beginning of this article.
Long time ago - when I was just a newbie in forex trading - I felt like I had discovered the secret of getting rich instantly because I thought that I had found a secret formula in forecasting the price movement. I found a trading system on the internet forum. I tried it for several weeks in demo account, and it turned out good. I thought it was my 'eureka' moment, and I applied the system in a real forex mini account. Things went well for several days and I started to talk about the system with my colleagues. I spoke like I was an expert in trading forex. I told them that they don't have to seek for any other way to get instant money. I told them to trade forex with my assistance; with my 'magical' tool.
There was no doubt at all in my mind that the system would blow out my account. The only thing in my mind was that it was such a 'holy grail' that could produce hundreds - even thousands - of dollars for me. Yes, I felt like I was an expert in trading who could 'dance with the market'. I spoke with confidence in front of my colleagues. In fact: too much confidence. I told them that there was no way my system will fail.
My colleagues told me that they also have heard about some profitable tools. I answered that my system was better than any other ones I have ever tried. I got cocky.
In short, my friends trusted me. They opened some forex mini accounts and entrusted their accounts under my management. I was like an account manager to them. Things went well for a week, two weeks, three weeks... and everybody was happy.
Sadly, that was not the whole story. My story did not end well. Instead of a 'happy ending', my story was ended with a tragedy. The trading system that I used only worked for about three months and suddenly happy days turned dark. It blew out my account only in one night! It also blew out my colleagues accounts those were entrusted to me. My friends believed that I really could multiply their money because they thought that my formula was as good as I told them.
What happened next was predictable. My colleagues were angry at me. They were not angry because of the lost, but because I told them before that my trading system will not fail. Fortunately, they all were aware that risk is an integrated part of business so that they didn't ask me to pay back their money; but since then, they do not believe in my words anymore.
Well, I am not an expert in forex yet, but eight years in forex trading has taught me important lessons that trading is not as easy as turning your hands upside down. In fact, life is not that easy. I soon realized that there isn't any instant way to get rich, not even forex trading.
My experience has taught me that there isn't any 'holy grail' in trading. Since then, I never - ever - got too confident with any trading system, even if it looks promising. I suggest you do the same thing. You have to study it first, BEFORE you ramble thither about the so-called powerful formula. You have to carefully learn the rules, study the strengths and weaknesses of it, BEFORE you speak like an expert in front of people that might believe in you and entrust their money to you.
So, I think you understand now, why we should keep unobtrusive in trading. There is nothing wrong with sharing our well-proven trading system, but always remember to stay humble.
It is important to stay humble as a forex trader. This attitude will prevent you from overrating your trading system and also prevent you from being too confident with your system. In turn, it will save you from being cocky and think that you have found the 'holy grail' of trading.
